Released 14 years ago today, Wide Awake became the emotional finale to Katy Perry’s iconic Teenage Dream era. Written in just two days for her documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me, the song reflected a period of personal growth and became one of her most honest and vulnerable releases.
The title itself came from a happy accident when Bonnie McKee misheard a demo from Max Martin, inspiring the now-famous lyric. More than a decade later, Wide Awake remains one of Katy’s most beloved songs, with its message of resilience continuing to resonate with fans around the world.
Steam, sand, and fearless imagination. A world where colossal machines, untamed wilderness, and timeless craftsmanship exist beyond the limits of ordinary reality. Every scene carries the spirit of adventure, where elegant engineering meets the raw beauty of endless deserts and forgotten civilizations.
Steampunk becomes a cinematic journey through mystery, freedom, and extraordinary worlds.
I've been experimenting more with storyboard-driven videos in Seedance, and this time I ended up with a workflow I didn't expect.
Instead of treating each generation as final, I started recycling the best moments back into the next generation.
The workflow looked something like this:
• Create storyboard frames for the sequence
• Generate a 15-second clip in Seedance
• Find the strongest shot from that generation
• Capture a frame and simplify it into a stick-figure pose reference
• Feed that back into the next Seedance generation together with the storyboard and prompts
• Repeat until the full sequence comes together, or at least I have some strong long enough shot!
It's a bit of a back-and-forth process, but it gives much more control over specific poses, camera angles and scene continuity.
The final video is actually stitched together from six separate 15-second Seedance generations.
It definitely isn't a one-click workflow, but that's what I enjoy about it.
Rather than hoping for one perfect generation, it feels more like directing a film, keeping the shots that work, refining the ones that don't, and gradually building the sequence piece by piece.
Every experiment like this makes AI video feel a little less like prompting... and a little more like cooking!
Lost in the whispers of the forest, where every ripple carries a little piece of peace. 🌿💧✨

One of Cristiano Ronaldo’s most unexpected viral moments came during a team flight when he was caught passionately singing Rihanna’s Stay. Featured in his 2015 documentary, the clip quickly spread online as fans got to see a completely different side of one of football’s greatest players.
Away from the pressure of the pitch, the moment showed Ronaldo simply enjoying the music, and years later it’s still one of the funniest and most wholesome behind-the-scenes clips of his career.
At Tomorrowland 2023, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike delivered a mashup that felt like a love letter to the golden era of EDM. Blending Titanium, Apologize, Million Voices, and Calling, they transformed four iconic tracks into one massive Mainstage singalong.
It was a reminder of why these songs became festival classics in the first place. Years after their release, they still have the power to bring thousands of people together, proving that great dance music never goes out of style.
Corvane burns brighter now. The wooden horde pours through its frozen streets, and Kira stands alone against them, Wyrmscar blazing in her grip, a weapon that chose her now demanding to know if she was worth choosing.
Miles away, word reaches the palace: Corvane is under siege. The King, unaware his daughter walks among the flames, orders his army to march.
Released in 2006, The Diary of Jane became Breaking Benjamin’s defining song and one of the biggest rock anthems of the decade. Driven by its unforgettable guitar riff, soaring chorus, and Ben Burnley’s emotionally charged vocals, the track helped introduce a new generation to alternative metal.
Nearly two decades later, it remains a staple of rock radio and live shows. Few songs capture the emotion, intensity, and cinematic sound of 2000s rock quite like The Diary of Jane.
Some people spend the whole party standing in the corner. Others hear one good song and instantly become the main character.
Whether the moves are good or completely unhinged, the best dancers are always the ones having the most fun—and that’s exactly what makes moments like this hilarious.
